Chris Kostro, Hinsdale Central English teacher and theater director explained why this particular show was chosen:

“Shakespeare can seem a bit daunting, however, once you realize his characters are expressing ideas and concerns that we still struggle with today, his works become a lot less daunting and a lot more accessible. The Shakespeare Project was born from the idea that everyone understands Shakespeare, and his text is so timeless it can be set anywhere and anytime. With minimal set work and simple costuming, his words can transport and mesmerize. I was lucky enough to see the first production of this show when it premiered at the University of Illinois. It was the first time Shakespeare came alive for me. I hope this production does the same for you. The students in this production are superb and really make the text come alive!”
