Hinsdale Police Reports: Fraud, DUI, Hit and Run

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Nov. 24.

A juvenile witness reported Nov. 18 she saw two men dressed in all black, wearing black masks and armed with handguns at the Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge, according to Hinsdale police. Police searched the park but couldn’t find the men.

Someone sent harassing text messages to a victim Nov. 19, according to Hinsdale police.

An elderly person was told Nov. 20 to send $3,000 to claim a $1,000,000 prize she supposedly won, according to Hinsdale police. The person’s family recognized the scam before the money was sent.

Amanda I Zdarsky, of South Williams Street in Westmont, was stopped Nov. 20 for speeding and improper lane use at Route 83 and 55th Street. She was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, according to Hinsdale police. She submitted to testing that showed she was over the legal limit, she was charged and released to appear in court.

Someone is a black SUV hit a car Nov. 21 in a parking lot in the 500 block of East Ogden Avenue and fled the scene, according to Hinsdale police. The driver was described as a woman with blond hair, between 35 and 45 years old.

Someone sent $1,500 Nov. 1 to a person she met on a dating website, according to Hinsdale police. She realized it was a scam when the person asked for more money for airfare.
