Hinsdale Police Reports: Property Damage, Theft, DUI
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through March 22.

Someone used a victim’s identity between March 1 and 14 to file a fraudulent tax return.
Fredrika Kajevic, 20 of the 0-100 block of Sheffield Lane in Oak Brook, was stopped March 15 for disobeying a stop sign in the 700 block of N York Road. She was found to be in possession of a green leafy substance that field tested positive for cannabis. She was charged with possession of cannabis and operating an uninsured vehicle and released to appear in court.

Richard M Romeo, 53 of the 200 block of Winding Creek Drive in Naperville, was stopped March 16 for speeding at Ogden Avenue and Route 83. He was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and he refused BAC testing. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Someone scratched a car March 20 while it was parked in the driveway and flattened all four tires.

John Patrick Goss, 52 of the 700 block of N County Line Road in Hinsdale, was parked in the roadway March 18 at the railroad crossing on Garfield Avenue. He was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and he refused BAC testing. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Kenneth Valles, 31 of the 2200 block of Gunderson Avenue in Berwyn, was stopped March 20 for improper lane use at 55th Street and Taft Road. He was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and he submitted to testing that showed he was over the legal limit. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Someone reported $40 was stolen from a petty cash drawer between March 10 and 11 in the 900 block of N Elm Street. The building is under construction, and a restoration company was at the building when the money went missing.
