Hinsdale Police Reports: Property Damage, Theft, Felony DUI

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Jan. 19

The following information is courtesy of the Hinsdale Police Department.

Someone damaged a car between JAn. 1 and 3 while it was parked in a driveway in the 200 block of S. Bodin Street. An estimate to repair the damage was $2,300 to $2,400.

A ManorCare patient reported money missing from her night stand on two separate occasions between Nov. 26 and Dec. 26. The total of the thefts was $7.

A 17-year-old girl was stopped for speeding Jan. 18 at Chicago and Park avenues. She was in possession of a green leafy substance that field tested positive for cannabis. She was charged and released to a parent.

Police were dispatched Jan. 14 to a report of an intoxicated motorist at 31st Street and Route 83. Marco Torres, 49 of the 3000 block of N Troy in Chicago, was stopped for improper lane use and failure to signal when required. He was seen to be under the influence of alcohol. Torres submitted to testing that determined he was over the legal limit. He was also driving on a revoked driver’s license from a previous DUI arrest. Torres was charged with felony DUI, driving while license revoked, failure to signal and improper lane use and transported to DuPage County Jail.
