Man Throws Bottles In Darien Store: Cops

In another case, a Darien woman was charged with criminal property damage, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the latest reports:

Disorderly at store

  • Officers were called about 8 p.m. April 2 to Jewel, 7329 Cass Ave., about a man throwing bottles on the floor in the liquor section. The 22-year-old Westmont man was arrested on charges of criminal property damage, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. The loss was estimated at $130. The man was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • A 45-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 1600 block of Royal Oak Drive was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Sunday on a warrant charging criminal property damage. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

DUI

  • A 39-year-old Westmont man was arrested about 10 p.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and speeding. Police said an officer saw the man driving 92 mph in a 45 mph on 75th Street, east of Farmingdale Drive. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 20-year-old Willowbrook man was arrested about 1 a.m. Friday on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of alcohol, speeding, possession of fraudulent identification and consumption of alcohol by a minor. Police said an officer saw the man do a U-turn near 75th Street and Cass Avenue and then speed 52 mph in a 45 mph zone. The man was released and given a date to appear in court.
