Men Cited for Lewd Conduct in Forest Preserves Identified
The men are residents of Darien, Downers Grove, Bolingbrook and Romeoville, among others.

The names of the men who were cited for lewd conduct in Will County forest preserves have been released after Patch filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Forest Preserve District of Will County.
The men were cited during a sting operation that occurred between March 8-10 within Veterans Woods in Romeoville, Hammel Woods in Shorewood and the Keepataw Preserve in Lemont.
All information comes directly from citations.
- Gerald P. Riva, of Downers Grove, was cited March 9 in Veterans Woods. Riva allegedly wanted to “receive and give oral sex.”
- Vito Siciliano, of Downers Grove, was cited twice March 10 in the Keepataw Preserve. Siciliano allegedly pulled “his penis out in front of officer” and was “groping his penis under his pants.”
- Joseph F. Perillo, of Darien, was cited March 8 in Veterans Woods. Perillo allegedly committed “excessive touching of penis through pants.”
- Joe G. Ramirez, of Bolingbrook, was cited March 10 in Veterans Woods. Ramirez allegedly wanted to “perform oral sex on (undercover) police officer.”
- Eric L. Simonson, of Bolingbrook, was cited March 8 in Veterans Woods. Simonson allegedly wanted “to perform oral sex behind a tree.”
- Steven C. Spellman, of Romeoville, was cited March 9 in Veterans Woods. Spellman allegedly wanted to “perform oral sex in the woods.”
- Victor J. Campos, of Romeoville, was cited March 10 in Veterans Woods. Campos was allegedly “masturbating through pants.”
- Charles M. Vinopal, of Romeoville, was cited March 11 in the Keepataw Preserve. Vinopal was allegedly “masturbating on bench.”
- John S. Turner, Sr., of Lockport, was cited March 10 in the Keepataw Forest Preserve. Turner allegedly wanted to “perform oral sex on (undercover) police officer.”
- Michael J. Kopija, of Plainfield, was cited March 8 in Hammel Woods. Kopija allegedly asked for “oral sex in undercover vehicle.”
- John Rehak, of Shorewood, was cited March in Hammel Woods. Rehak allegedly asked “for oral sex.”
- Robert M. Dickerson, of Joliet, was cited March 9 in Hammel Woods. Dickerson allegedly “asked to see officer’s c--k.”
- Philip J. Cusimano, of Shorewood, was cited March 9 in Hammel Woods. Cusimano allegedly “told officer it is OK to stand in the corner and masturbate.”
- Thomas J. Holmgren, of Aurora, was cited March 9 in Hammel Woods. Holmgren was allegedly performing “excessive rubbing of penis through pants.”
- Denis E. O’Brien, of Shorewood, was cited March 10 in Hammel Woods. O’Brien allegedly “asked to see officer’s penis.”
- Kevin P. Goffard, of Lemont, was cited March 11 in the Keepataw Preserve. Goffard was allegedly “masturbating on bench.”
The men are all scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit Court at 1 p.m. April 12.
Four other people were cited for offenses within the forest preserves during the sting operation.
- Brian Niedzwiecki, of Plainfield, was cited for misdemeanor public indecency.
- Edward Mabe, Jr., of Lisle, was cited for misdemeanor public indecency.
- James Dennis, of Joliet, was cited for misdemeanor battery.
- Courtney Jones, of Joliet, was cited for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
