Saturday, Aug. 6

Backpack stolen from vehicle

Someone broke out the rear driver’s side window of a vehicle and stole a backpack containing children’s clothes between about midnight and 5 a.m. at Extended Stay America, 2345 Sokol Court. Reports estimate the value of the damage and stolen property is $500.

Friday, Aug. 5

Theft at XSport Fitness

Police said items were stolen from a locked locker including credit cards, wallet, car key, check registers, driver’s license and cell phone between about 8:45 and 10:35 p.m. at XSport Fitness, 7511 Lemont Road.

Wednesday, Aug. 3

DUI on Plainfield Road

Ariunbold Tsolmon, 31, 6708 Cedar Lane, Westmont, was arrested about 1:45 a.m. Aug. 3 in the 700 block of Plainfield Road, police said. Reports state Tsolmon was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

Man nets DUI charge

Solomon O. Idowu, 29, 1110 Plainfield Road, Darien, was arrested at about 1:45 a.m. in the 900 block of 79th Street, police said. Reports state Idowu was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and no insurance.

Items stolen from vehicle

Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole items used for trivia contests between 11 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of 75th Street, police said. Reports state the estimated loss is $500.
