Youths Cited In Darien Golf Course Trespassing
The charges follow weeks of damage at the course, which frustrated the owners.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police said they charged five youths this week with trespassing at the golf course at Carriage Greens Country Club.
This followed weeks of reported damage to the course, with the owners expressing frustration.
About 11:30 p.m. Monday, officers were called to the 8400 block of Carriage Green Drive for a report of people throwing rocks and golf balls at a house, police said.

An officer flew a drone and, as a result, detained one youth, police said.
Officers were then called to the 1700 block of Golfview Drive and spoke to four more youths.

The youths admitted to being on the golf course and throwing rocks and golf balls at the house on Carriage Green Drive, police said.
All the youths were cited on trespassing charges.
Hearings are set for June 26 and July 10 for the suspects.
