Meet Zeus, the Pet Pick of the Week from DuPage County Animal Care and Control.

Zeus got his picture taken with NHL player and Wheaton native Ryan Dzingel! Zeus was quite the charmer. It’s hard to tell who was more photogenic...Ryan or Zeus!

Zeus is an active 1-year-old male American Staffordshire terrier/mastiff mix. This young boy has been bounced about quite a bit.

Zeus is a young and active dog. This young boy has been bounced about quite a bit. He was originally surrendered to DCACC as a young puppy. His first family could not care for him or keep up with his training and exercise needs.

Zeus was adopted from DCACC about a year ago, but unfortunately, Zeus’ second owner passed away, and Zeus finds himself once again in the shelter.

Zeus is now 1.5 years old and is a unique-looking dog, with his chocolate brown coloring and his long lanky legs. Zeus is still a puppy at heart and is so happy when given the chance to play. Once given the proper exercise, Zeus will calm down nicely and with engage with his person.

He is a happy, wiggly dog who enjoys walks, likes everyone he meets and is friendly with other dogs. Because of his high energy level and wiggly-ness, he will need a home without children under 10.

The shelter would love to see Zeus go to an active home where he can get the training and attention he needs. Could it be yours?
