Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches communication and leadership skills—and builds confidence--through a worldwide network of local clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 270,000 in more than 14,000 clubs in 150 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders. How does this happen? Education is an important part of every Toastmaster’s journey, and it’s a critical aspect of all club meetings around the world. Participating in Toastmasters’ innovative Pathways education program allows members to gain the valuable practice and build the confidence needed to develop their speaking, listening and leadership skills. Participation is done in a safe and supportive club environment, which allows members to learn at their own pace in the Pathways curriculum that has helped thousands meet—and even exceed—their personal and professional expectations. And the cost? It’s minimal! For Deerbrook Park Toastmasters, monthly dues are $11.50 per month plus a one-time charge of $23 for educational materials.
