Uninsured Drunken Driver Also Charged With Speeding: Riverwoods PD Blotter

Adam M. Florzak, 44, of Highland Park, is accused of domestic battery (bodily harm), domestic battery (contact of insulting or provoking nature), and was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 8, in the parking lot of the Riverwoods Police Department.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Kevin P. Joyce, of the 900 block of Brookside Lane, Deerfield, is accused of speeding, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 1:48 a.m. Dec. 6, near the intersection of Lake Cook and Portwine roads. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 8, 2026.
• Brianna Grace Cheung, 23, of the 5200 block of Briarcrest Lane, Long Grove, is accused of improper lane usage, failing to signal a turn, DUI alcohol, and was arrested at 2:48 a.m. Dec. 6, near the intersection of Deerfield Road and Milwaukee Avenue. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 8, 2026.
• Magdalena I. Surowka, 40, of the 1900 block of Calvin Court, Riverwoods, is accused of disobeying a stop sign, DUI alcohol, and was arrested at 1:19 a.m. Dec. 7, at the intersection of Portwine and Orange Brace roads. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 8, 2026.
• Brian J. Gilbert, 37, of the 800 block of Inverness Road, Lisle, is accused of speeding, DUI alcohol, and was arrested at 5:50 a.m. Nov. 25, near the intersection of Deerfield Road and Jasmine Lane. She was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 18.
