2K Deerfield Area Residents Still Without Power Following Storm: ComEd

DEERFIELD, IL — At least 2,000 Deerfield area residents are still without power Wednesday following last night's storm. According to the ComEd outage map, 1,479 residents in Deerfield are without power, and 854 in Riverwoods.
Severe thunderstorms and lightning hit the Chicagoland region Tuesday night, resulting in 60 mph wind gusts and hail.
The Village of Deerfield said ComEd has deployed crews from other regions and external support crews to address power outages in the village. Residents can track the status of power outages at ComEd's Outage Map.

The Village is asking residents to place any tree limbs or debris from the storm at the curb by Thursday night for collection on Friday by Public Works. Officials said anything placed at the curb after Thursday will be subject to LRS collection protocols.
The Department of Public Works was in overnight and will continue to perform cleanup throughout the week, though a generator fire Wednesday morning at 465 Elm St. has closed the building to the public at this time. Residents can call 847-317-7245 for assistance.
