4 Seats on D113 Board Open for April Election

Interested candidates can pick up candidate packets at the superintendent's office. Petitions can start circulating Sept. 23.

The following is from District 113:

There will be four (4) seats open on the Township High School District 113 Board of Education in April, 2015.

If you are interested in running for a seat on the Board of Education, candidate packets will be available starting Tuesday, September 16 in the Superintendent’s Office at 1040 Park Avenue West, Highland Park, Illinois, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. The contact person is Sandra Jasso: sjasso@dist113.org or 224-765-1002.

Important dates:

· Candidate packets will be available in the District Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. starting September 16, 2014.

· The first day that candidates can lawfully circulate nominating petitions for signatures is September 23, 2014.

· The period for filing nominating papers runs from December 15 through December 22, 2014. (December 22 is the last day packets will be accepted.)

· Election Day is April 7, 2015.

It is very important to note that candidate packets will no longer be filed at the School District Office. All candidates must file their packet at the Lake County Clerk’s Office, 18 N. County St., Waukegan, Illinois, http://countyclerk.lakecountyil.gov/Pages/default.aspx.
