Animal Cruelty Arrest Made: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter
A 49-year-old Beach Park resident was charged last week, according to police.

Agusto S. Mata Arcos, 49, of the 37600 block of N. Green Bay Road, Beach Park, is accused of cruelty to animals, and was arrested Sept. 1 in the 37600 block of N. Green Bay Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 8.

- Gerardo Hernandez, 37, of the 36700 block of N. Lawrence Drive, unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, open transportation of alcohol, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Sept. 1 at Route 59 and Dering Road, unincorporated Lake Villa. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 17.
- Daniel J. Pranczke, 34, of the 35600 block of N. Poplar Avenue, Ingleside, is accused of aggravated DUI, driving while license revoked, no insurance, and was arrested Sept. 3 at Rollins Road and Elm Avenue, Ingleside. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 19.
- Erik B. Davis, 30, of the 700 block of Waters Edge Drive, Lake Villa, had a warrant for DUI alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 4 in the 700 block of Waters Edge Drive, Lake Villa. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and was assigned a court date of Oct. 1.
- Adam J. Lichon, 35, of the 0-100 block of N. Lake Avenue, Third Lake, is accused of DUI alcohol, driving while license revoked, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 4 at Route 45 and Washington Street, unincorporated Gurnee. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time and was assigned a court date of Oct. 23.
- Fredis O. Contreras-Palacios, 26, of the 700 block of Pine Street, Waukegan, had a warrant for DUI, and was arrested Sept. 7 at Sheridan and Yorkhouse roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 26.
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED
Christine M. Arizola, 51, of the 100 block of Sunnyside Place, Libertyville, is accused of driving while license suspended, no insurance, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Sept. 1 at Lewis and Sunset avenues, Waukegan. She was released following the arrest.
RETAIL THEFT
Carlos J. Otero-Santana, 36, of the 4800 block of Crest Court, Waukegan, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested Sept. 2 in the 200 block of W. Water Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 11.

BATTERY
- Jennyfer Nevarez-Cervantes, 26, of the 700 block of Court of Birch, Vernon Hills, is accused of aggravated battery to a correctional officer, and was arrested Sept. 3 at the Lake County Jail. She was being held there on other charges and was assigned a court date of Sept. 16.
- Windy Sewell, 50, of the 1000 block of Victoria Avenue, North Chicago, had a warrant for aggravated battery, domestic battery, and was arrested Sept. 3 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. She was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 8.
- Christina E. Hanenberger, 37, of the 0-100 block of Edison Court, Fox Lake, had a warrant for battery, and was arrested Sept. 3 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. She was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 24.
- Essence N. McGill, 33, of the 1000 block of Elmwood Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and was arrested Sept. 4 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. She was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Sept. 30.
VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION
Michael Paul Griffin, 33, of the 200 block of Kensington Court, Gurnee, had a warrant for violating an order of protection, and was arrested Sept. 4 in the 400 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Sept. 9.
FAILURE OF SEXUAL OFFENDER TO REPORT ADDRESS
Shawn J. Murphy, 45, of the 39300 block of N. 5th Avenue, unincorporated Spring Grove, had a warrant for failure of sexual offender to report address, and was arrested Sept. 4 in the 39300 block of N. 5th Avenue, unincorporated Spring Grove. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 23.
