Armed Violence Charge For Drug Dealer: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON BY A FELON

• Ryan O. Irving, 42, of the 1300 block of Simpson Street, Evanston, had a warrant for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and was arrested Nov. 17 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 8, 2026.
• Bryana L. Chacon, 23, of the 2700 block of Gabriel Avenue, Zion, is accused of aggravated unlawful possession of a firearm, and was arrested Nov. 19 at Green Bay and Wadsworth roads, Beach Park. She was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 19.

BATTERY

Marcial Recinos Vasquez, 35, of the 800 block of Green Bay Road, Highwood, had a warrant for aggravated battery, and was arrested Nov. 17 in the 200 block of Water Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 11.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

• Nathan M. Cooper, 44, of the 4800 block of Strong Road, Crystal Lake, is accused of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, improper transportation of cannabis, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Nov. 17 at Northwestern Avenue and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 17.
• Melanie S. Zember, 37, of the 200 block of Uteg Street, Crystal Lake, is accused of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, improper transportation of cannabis, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Nov. 17 at Northwestern Avenue and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. She was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 17.

IDENTITY THEFT

Jeffrey R. Tarpen, 40, of the 25600 block of W. Arcade Drive, unincorporated Lake Villa, had a warrant for identity theft, and was arrested Nov. 18 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 10.

RETAIL THEFT

• Omesha T. Hawkins, 30, of the 5400 block of S. Aberdeen Street, Chicago, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested Nov. 18 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 3.
• Patrick D. Enis, 37, of the 2300 block of Gilboa Avenue, Zion, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested Nov. 21 at Route 41 and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 18.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Dagoberto Rodriguez-Cortes, 42, of the 38600 block of Linden Avenue, Beach Park, had a warrant for driving under the influence, and was arrested Nov. 18 in the 38600 block of Linden Avenue, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 10.
• Arthur C. Purchase, 46, of the 12800 block of W. Wakefield Drive, Beach Park, is accused of DUI alcohol, speeding (92 mph in a 55 mph zone), open transportation of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Nov. 18 at Route 41 and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 31.
• Jerrod A. Little, 39, of the 400 block of W. Hawthorne Drive, Round Lake Beach, is accused of DUI alcohol, violating the concealed carry act, and was arrested Nov. 20 at Routes 45 and 132, unincorporated Gurnee. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 7, 2026.
• Orlando B. Garcia Castaneda, 25, of the 3200 block of Enoch Avenue, Zion, is accused of DUI alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Nov. 21 at Sheridan and Wadsworth roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 7, 2026.
• Travis A. Breasbois, 36, of the 1300 block of Golf Avenue, Highland Park, is accused of DUI alcohol, resisting arrest, and was arrested Nov. 21 at Route 59 and Petite Lake Road, unincorporated Lake Villa. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 17.

THEFT

Timothy L. Jackson, 53, of the 100 block of N. Sangamon Street, Chicago, had a warrant for theft, and was arrested Nov. 20 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was sentenced to seven days in jail and assigned a court date of Nov. 26.

UNLAWFUL DELIVERY OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Julia Davis, 35, of the 500 block of Phesant Court, Grayslake, is accused of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, armed violence, and was arrested Nov. 21 in the 500 block of Pheasant Court, Grayslake. She was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Dec. 3.
