Back to School Countdown Begins in District 109
It's hard to believe it, but yes, the first day of school for Deerfield District 109 students is upon us. Are you ready?

With the first day of school in Deerfield District 109 just a week away (Wednesday, Aug 21), students and staff are preparing for the new year.
Students at Caruso Middle School took advantage of "Locker Day" to get their lockers decorated and organized, while new teachers attended a three-day orientation, according to Supt. Michael Lubelfeld's blog.
The superintendent has scheduled informal "meet and greets" for parents on the following dates:
- Friday, Aug. 16 from 3-4 p.m. at Shepard Middle School
- Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. at Walden Elementary School
- Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. at Wilmot Elementary School
- Thursday, Aug. 29 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. at South Park Elementary School
- Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 3-4 p.m. at Caruso Middle School
- Thursday, Sep. 12 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. at Kipling Elementary School
