Bagged Yard Waste Collection Resumes In Deerfield

All yard waste must be placed in a proper receptacle, not to exceed 50 pounds.

DEERFIELD, IL — Bagged yard waste collection resumed Tuesday in Deerfield. According to Lakeshore Recycling Systems and the Village of Deerfield, all yard waste must be placed in a proper receptacle not to exceed 50 pounds.

Residents may use their compost cart, paper kraft bags and user-owned cans clearly marked as "Yard Waste." LRS will also take bundles of sticks, twigs and branches that are no more than 4’ in length and 18” in diameter.

Any extra yard waste that is placed in a container other than the compost cart will require a yard waste sticker, which may be purchased at Village Hall and select local retailers for $3.33.
