Cocaine Manufacturing Warrant Arrest Made: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Abraham Vazquez-Dominguez, 41, of the 1900 block of 2nd Street, Highland Park, had a warrant for driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested Sept. 22 in the 200 block of Water Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 3, 2026.
• Tiandre M. Carpenter, 35, of the 39600 block of Lynsee Court, Beach Park, is accused of DUI drugs, driving while license suspended, and was arrested Sept. 24 at St. Marys Road and Sanctuary Lane, Mettawa. Carpenter was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 19.
• Dominique D. Evans, 30, of the 2000 block of Wright Avenue, North Chicago, is accused of DUI alcohol, resisting arrest, and was arrested Sept. 26 at I-94 and Route 137, Green Oaks. She was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 22.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METH

Sharis L. Pettis, 37, of the 3000 block of Gilead Avenue, Zion, had a warrant for unlawful possession of meth, and was arrested Sept. 23 at 21st Street and Sheridan Road, Zion. Pettis was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 22.

BATTERY

Michael R. Dixon, 44, no permanent address, had a warrant for battery, and was arrested Sept. 23 at Route 41 and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 16.

MANUFACTURING COCAINE

Christopher J. Balaban, 45, no permanent address, had a warrant out of McHenry County for manufacturing cocaine, and was arrested Sept. 23 in the 28700 block of N. Waukegan Road, unincorporated Lake Bluff. A future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

China S. Howard, 33, of the 3600 block of Casimir Pulaski Drive, Waukegan, is accused of disorderly conduct, battery, and was arrested Sept. 24 in the 33900 block of Route 45, unincorporated Grayslake. Howard was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 29.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

Dionte J. Brooks, 27, of the 2600 block of W. Hidden Glen Drive, Waukegan, is accused of attempted burglary to a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and was arrested Sept. 24 at 27th Street and Gabriel Avenue, Zion. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 15.

PAROLE VIOLATION

Amber M. Maul 39, no permanent address, had a warrant out of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for a parole violation, new charges of obstructing identification, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested Sept. 25 at West Drive and George Street, Waukegan. A future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM

Austin R. Larson, 35, of the 7200 block of Manor Road, Crystal Lake, had a warrant out of McHenry County for unlawful possession of a firearm, and was arrested Sept. 26 in the 24300 block of N. Woodland Avenue, unincorporated Cary. A future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT

Roy L. Archie 44, of the 3400 block of Windhaven Drive, Waukegan, is accused of leaving the scene of an accident, no insurance, and was arrested Sept. 26 at Wadsworth Road and Bernice Terrace, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 13.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A STOLEN VEHICLE

Joseph A. Savino, 42, of the 28900 block of Pilgrims Pass, Lakemoor, had a warrant for unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, and was arrested Sept. 27 in the 28900 block of Route 120, Lakemoor. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 16.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

• Jose M. Zamora, 51, of the 38200 block of Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, and was arrested Sept. 28 at Jackson Street and Greenwood Avenue, Waukegan. He was released following his arrest.
• Ramon Melgoza, 36, of the 1200 block of Michigan Avenue, South Milwaukee, is accused of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Sept. 28 at Russell Road and Delaney Road, unincorporated Zion. He was released following his arrest.
