Water Shut Off Forces Library To Close Monday
Deerfield Public Library expects to resume normal schedule Tuesday.

Deerfield’s Public Library will be closed Monday because of a temporary water shut off resulting from the Lake Cook Road construction project, according to an email from Community Outreach Coordinator Jody Wilson.
“We expect to open as usual at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 14,” Wilson wrote in the email. “In the unlikely event we need to be closed for a second day, we will post that information on our website. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
The Library is currently housed in temporary space at Cadwell Corners near the intersection of Lake Book and Waukegan Roads while its home next to the Deerfield Village Hall undergoes a year-long renovation project. The newly redesigned library will open in June.
