Coronavirus Schedule Changes Announced by Deerfield Mayor

Deerfield Mayor Harriet Rosenthal announced pharmacy and grocery store schedule changes on Monday.

DEERFIELD — Several of Deerfield's grocery stores and pharmacies have changed their hours of operation in response to the coronavirus pandemic, Deerfield Mayor Harriet Rosenthal announced Monday. Although Deerfield Village Hall has closed, staff continue to work to avoid the shutdown of any essential services.

"Our streets and gathering places have been empty," Rosenthal said in a newsletter. "Normally, this would be cause for concern, but it gives me relief that so many are heeding the call to stay home and only go out when necessary. Thank you for being safe and practicing social distancing."

Jewel-Osco in Deerfield will offer special hours for seniors from 7 to 9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Whole Foods also will offer senior hours for adults over 60 each day from 8 to 9 a.m.
