The new coronavirus has changed life for all of us. Local businesses have taken a huge economic hit, but communities are finding creative ways to support the establishments they know and love.

Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

Our advanced psychiatric services utilize both conventional and alternative means to obtain ultimate physical, mental and emotional health and well-being. Services include Advanced NeuroDiagnostic tools, expertise in conventional, nutraceutical (supplements) and combination pharmaceutical therapies, biofeedback, neurobiofeedback and qEEG.

Dr. Epstein is a senior consultant and served on the medical staff and was a founder of Midwest Neuropsychiatric Associates at Rush Pres (Chicago, Illinois) for over 30 years. In 1997, he opened his own private, medical consultation practice in Deerfield, Illinois.

Dr. Epstein is Board certified, a graduate of University of Chicago, a Fulbright Scholar (Maudsley/London-neurochemistry) and has been involved in extensive research and development in the field of brain sciences throughout his career. Recent developments include “fit for service” neurodiagnostic testing and treatment for veterans and first responders who suffer from job-related distress and/or trauma.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

Hours have needed to be drastically cut due to social distancing protocol. Testing has been delayed due to the same. Student internships have been discontinued. We are slowly transitioning to tele-med options. There have been no donations for research and development for advancement in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

You can support us through referrals. Dr. Epstein treats adolescents, adults and seniors (geriatric). Dr. Epstein also accepts donations for research and development projects to advance the sciences of psychiatry and neuropsychiatry.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

We will get through this together. There is help. We can help.

Are you offering any special services, promotions or hours during this time?

Yes. We are offering free initial consults and reduced fees for those in hardship. The office currently accepts Medicare and BC/BS (Illinois) PPO. We are not part of any medical system. This is a private consulting practice.
