DEERFIELD, IL — A charity basketball game scheduled for next month looks like a slam dunk for an Illinois charity. Members of the Deerfield Police Department and Deerfield Bannockburn Fire Department will square off with the Shepard Middle School eighth-grade basketball team on Feb. 5.
All proceeds from the game will benefit the 100 Club of Illinois, which provides financial assistance and other resources to the families of fallen first responders, according to DPD. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. at Shepard Middle School, 440 Grove Ave. Tickets are $3 if bought at lunch before the event and $5 at the door.
