Deerfield High School Close to Naming New Resource Officer
A new school resource officer is expected to be part of new school year at DHS.

By the time classes resume at Deerfield High School on Aug. 21, a new school resource officer is expected be in place to enhance security efforts and serve as a trusted resource for students and staff, reported the Chicago Tribune.
The school board is interviewing three finalists from the Deerfield Police Department to take on the position, according to the newspaper.
Highland Park High School has already had a school resource officer, or SRO, for several years.
