Deerfield Library Offers Grab-And-Go Craft For Teens

The youth library staff also shares the top teen reads of 2020.

Hola DPL Tweens and Teens!

This month you will find a Grab & Go Craft just for you in our brand new Creation Station. What’s the Creation Station? It’s the green newspaper box right outside the Library’s door. We’ll be using this to hand out our Grab & Go kits from now on.

Every time a new year comes around, I feel like I have a new pile or list of books that I want to read. A new bookmark to keep my place is definitely something I could use. While supplies last, you can grab a bag labeled “Tween/Teen Craft.” Inside you’ll find supplies for designing your own bookmark. I personally went with a winter theme, but you can create any design you’d like and use any other supplies you might have at home. Pro Tip: The silvery twine can be a bit slippery so I recommend double knotting it so it doesn’t come undone.

Are you looking for something new to read? Remember you can always contact the Youth & Teen Librarians at youthservices@deerfieldlibrary.org. Just let us know what kind of books you like to read and we can give you some suggestions.
