Deerfield Man Charged with Trying to Choke Woman

A Deerfield man is facing charges of aggravated battery and interfering with a reporting of a crime after police say he tried to strangle a woman and threatened her with a pair of scissors and a hammer, according to an article in the Deerfield Review.

Police say the man, Jared D. Kreiter, 26, of the 0-100 block of Greenbriar Drive, knew the woman, the article says.
