Deerfield Man Killed While Changing Tire on I94 in WI

A Deerfield man died Sunday night after being hit by a car on I94 in Wisconsin after he’d pulled over to change a flat tire, the Daily Herald reports.

Joseph Lopiccolo, 62, was on the westbound side of I94 around 10:30 p.m. when he was hit by another car, whose driver stopped at the scene, the article says. A trooper found Lopiccolo in a ditch and started CPR, but he could not be revived.

The incident happened in Racine County, according to the Racine Journal Times. Law enforcement there told the paper that drivers with car problems should pull over, stay in their vehicles and call law enforcement for help.
