Deerfield's Semi-Annual Sewage Haul to Spur Stench, Truck Traffic
Local officials are asking residents to be patient this month, when additional truck traffic and potential odors may descend on Deerfield.

DEERFIELD, IL - Local officials are asking residents to be patient this month, when additional truck traffic and potential odors may temporarily grace the village.
Workers at the Village Water Reclamation Facility will be conducting their semi-annual hauling of biosolids sometime this month, according to a community alert.
"The work is weather dependent, and with rain in the forecast, the exact date is not clear," it said.

The notices continues, saying that the work generally spurs more truck traffic and potential odors in and around the site of the facility.
"We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to accomplish this necessary action with as little impact to residents as possible," said Brandon J. Janes, the treatment plant's superintendent.
