DHS Teacher Headed to Prague for Exchange Program
An exchange program will send one Deerfield High School teacher to Prague for a year and one Czech teacher to DHS.
Deerfield High School English teacher Elliot Hurtig will be leaving for Prague in early August to spend a year teaching students in the Czech Republic as part of the Fulbright Classroom Teacher Exchange, reported the Chicago Tribune.
Joining Hurtig in this cultural adventure will be his wife and two sons, who will attend private school in Prague, according to the newspaper. As part of the exchange program, Deerfield High School's staff for the new school year will include an English teacher from the Czech Republic.
