DUI, Street Racing, Suspect Arrested Twice In 2 Days: Lake Co. Blotter

Two juveniles face multiple criminal charges after Lake County Sheriff's deputies said the two were racing at 103 mph in a 45 mph zone.

DEERFIELD, IL — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made a series of arrests over the past week, including a pair of juveniles who have been charged with street racing.

Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding and that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Bruce Lenart, 68, unincorporated Antioch, was arrested on July 25 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without insurance. He was released on $3,000 personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29.

Lynn M. Nohlgren, 50, Waukegan, was arrested on July 25 and charged with aggravated assault. She was released on $1,500 personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 10. Nohlgren was arrested again on July 26 and charged with criminal trespassing of property and was released on $1,500 personal recognizance. She will appear on that charge on Aug. 10.

Two juveniles were arrested on July 25 and charged with street racing, and aggravated speeding (103 mph in a 45 MPH zone), and one of the juveniles was charged with driving without insurance. Both are scheduled for hearings in branch court.

Jesse Zumaya, 33, Huffman, Texas, was arrested on July 26 on a warrant for aggravated battery and unlawful use of a firearm. He is being held on a $3 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25.

Ania O. Mason, 19, Chicago, was arrested on July 27 on a warrant out of Kenosha, Wis., for fleeing and eluding out of Kenosha County. A court date has yet to be determined.
