Advocacy trip brings Illinois small-business concerns directly to federal policymakers.
Local Business Owner Meets with Lawmakers
Deerfield IL – Local business owner, Diana Zarkha of Commercial Capital Consulting Group was an attendee at the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Washington Presentation in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 10-11.
As part of the NSBA delegation, Zarkha participated in several activities aimed at providing small-business owners the latest updates on federal legislation, as well as increasing policymakers’ awareness of critical small-business issues. Attendees heard from a wide array of political experts, attended a high-level briefing at the White House, celebrated NSBA’s 2025 Small Business Advocate of the Year Award winners and met with Members of Congress.

“I’m honored to be part of the NSBA delegation that took to Capitol Hill last week,” stated Zarkha “The work we do to ensure small business is at the table is critically important not just to my small business, but to the millions of small businesses across the country.”
The following day, Zarkha participated in a Congressional Breakfast featuring Sens. Ron Johnson, Rand Paul and Jon Husted, and Reps. Roger Williams, Derek Schmidt, Carol Miller, LaMonica McIver, Adrian Smith and Johnny Olszewski.

Zarkha then met with the offices of Sens. Tammy Duckwort and Rep. Mike Quigley where she talked about the recently passed tax rate permanency, the Corporate Transparency Act and strengthening federal innovation programs.
