DEERFIELD, IL — It was a back-and-forth affair earlier this month at the second annual Chicagoland Jewish Basketball Showcase, with Team Jerusalem defeating Team Tel Aviv, 68-64.

Mike Kamin, who founded the event, told Patch last month proceeds from the game will be directed to the Hadassah Medical Organization, which supports Hadassah hospitals in Israel. Over $1,000 was raised.

According to Kamin, 14 of the top Jewish high school senior basketball players from the area, representing both public and private schools from 1A to 4A, converged at Ida Crown Jewish Academy in Skokie to show off their basketball skills.
