Man Allows Minors To Drink Alcohol At Home: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter
The 24-year-old was arrested over the weekend following the incident at his Beach Park home.

Daniel J. Smith, 47, of the 5000 block of Maplehill Drive, McCullom Lake, is accused of disorderly conduct, battery, and was arrested Oct. 27 in the 20500 block of N. Rand Road, Deer Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 19.
AGGRAVATED UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON

Daniel Abarca, 35, of the 1500 block of Salem Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, driving while license revoked, and was arrested Oct. 27 at Pine Grove Avenue and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 25.
ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Jermaine A. Roach, 38, of the 3200 block of Ezra Avenue, Zion, is accused of attempted unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested Oct. 27 at Pine Grove Avenue and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. Hew as released and assigned a court date of Dec. 3.
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED
- Regina Radaza, 48, of the 1400 block of North Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Oct. 27 at Wadsworth Road and Kilbourne Road, Wadsworth. She was released following her arrest.
- Miriam V. Mahovsky, 41, of the 900 block of N. Boxwood Drive, Mount Prospect, is accused of driving while license suspended, unlawful use of a driver's license, and was arrested Oct. 27 at Rollins Road and Nicole Lane, Round Lake Beach. She was released following her arrest.
- Rachel R. Taiwo, 43, of the 8900 block of Bronx Avenue, Skokie, is accused of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Oct. 27 at Sheridan Road and Beach Place, Beach Park. She was released following her arrest.
- Derrick L. Coleman, 37, of the 2100 block of Joppa Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving while license suspended, resisting a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested Oct. 28 at N. Sheridan and Wadsworth roads, Beach Park. He was released following his arrest.

ENDANGERING THE LIFE OF A CHILD
Daniel C. Harden, 34, of the 500 block of W. Kenilworth Avenue, Palatine, is accused of endangering the life of a child, and was arrested Oct. 28 in the 1100 block of Old McHenry Road, Long Grove. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 4.
LEAVING THE SCENE OF A CRASH
Benaifer R. Elavia, 36, of the 1300 block of Johnson Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of leaving the scene of a crash, and was arrested Oct. 28 in the 2400 block of Federal Court, Long Grove. She was released following her arrest.
RETAIL THEFT
Maegan N. Ahern, 27, of the 25400 block of Golfview Avenue, unincorporated Antioch, had a warrant out of McHenry County for retail theft, and was arrested Oct. 28 in the 25400 block of Golfview Avenue, unincorporated Antioch. A future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.
RECKLESS DRIVING
Carl A. Nabb, 74, of the 2200 block of Elim Avenue, Zion, is accused of reckless driving, attempt to flee to elude, and was arrested Oct. 29 at Sheridan Road and Michigan Boulevard, Beach Park. He was released following his arrest.
VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION
Kerry A. Soudan, 57, of the 24600 block of W. Brorson Avenue, unincorporated Round Lake, is accused of violating an order of protection, aggravated assault against a peace officer, and was arrested Oct. 31 in the 24600 block of W. Brorson Avenue, unincorporated Round Lake. Soudan was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Nov. 5.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
- William L. Upton, 33, no permanent address, had a warrant for driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving, and was arrested Nov. 1 in the 25500 block of W. Route 173, unincorporated Antioch. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 6.
- Gilvert Castaneda, 43, of the 10600 block of S. Calumet Avenue, Chicago, is accused of DUI alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, reckless driving, no driver's license, and was arrested Nov. 1 at Sheridan and Beach roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 17.
AUTHORIZING HOME FOR MINORS TO CONSUME ALCOHOL
Nathaniel Welch, 24, of the 10400 block of W. Bairstow Avenue, Beach Park, is accused of authorizing home for minors to consume alcohol, and was arrested Nov. 1 in the 10400 block of W. Bairstow Avenue, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 7, 2026.
