Man With Meth Strikes Police K9: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Christian F. Zuniga, 34, of the 500 block of N. McAree Road, Waukegan, is accused of disorderly conduct, resisting a peace officer, criminal trespass to vehicle, aggravated assault, reckless conduct, criminal damage to property, driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful possession of a switchblade, and was arrested Oct. 13 in the 10300 block of W. Beach Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 19.

HARASSMENT

Robert M. Scanlan, 42, of the 700 block of Main Street, Antioch, had a warrant for harassment, and was arrested Oct. 15 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 21.

THEFT

Armando Guzman-Aguilar, 44, of the 100 block of Del Rio Road, Carpentersville, had a warrant for theft, and was arrested Oct. 15 at Beach and Sheridan roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 3.

DRUG OFFENSE

• Kelly E. Shepard, 50, of the 400 block of Valley Drive, Naperville, had a warrant for a drug offense out of DuPage County, and was arrested Oct. 15 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. A future court date in DuPage County was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Richard J. Ruich, Jr., 43, of the 800 block of Bell Aire Street, Marseilles, had a warrant out of DuPage County for a drug offense, and was arrested Oct. 15 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. A future court date in DuPage County was to be determined at the time of the report.

TRESPASSING

Adam P. Algar, 38, of Appleton, Wisconsin, is accused of trespassing, obstructing identification, had a warrant for criminal trespass to property, and was arrested Oct. 15 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 6.

RETAIL THEFT

• Katie A. Olson, 42, of the 25300 block of S. Fryer Street, Channahon, had a warrant out of McHenry County for retail theft, and was arrested Oct. 15 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. A future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Christian A. Goeden, 24, of the 33900 block of N. Wooded Glen Drive, unincorporated Grayslake, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested Oct. 15 in the 34200 block of Route 45, Third Lake. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 5.

CONTEMPT OF COURT

Victor M. De La Torre, 38, of the 400 block of Holiday Lane, Hainesville, had a warrant for contempt of court (child support), and was arrested Oct. 16 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $4,500 and a court date of Nov. 4 was assigned.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Nathan R. Guzzo, 19, of the 100 block of Chris Larkin Road, Fox Lake, is accused of criminal damage to property, assault, disorderly conduct, and was arrested Oct. 16, at routes 60 and 120, Volo. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 5.

POSSESSION OF METH

Armando Cazares-Garibay, 37, no permanent address, is accused of possession of meth, striking a police animal, battery, assault, criminal trespass to property criminal damage to property, and was arrested Oct. 16 in the 9900 block of W. Hendee Road, Beach Park. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report and was assigned a court date of Nov. 12.

TRAFFIC OFFENSE

Jonathan M. Gonzalez, 30, of the 4200 block of Greenleaf Court, Park City, had a warrant for a traffic offense, and was arrested Oct. 17, in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 4.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Austin M. Williams, 48, of the 5100 block of Red Pine Avenue, Gurnee, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and was arrested Oct. 19 at Green Bay and Wadsworth roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 26.
