Michael Jordan Motivates New Business Owner

Defining Moments will become Highland Park's newest business when it opens in October but owner Angelo Turcanu had his defining moment as a young boy because of Michael Jordan.

That is when Turcanu’s grandfather bought him the first pair of Air Jordan shoes on the market. Each time the latest pair of the basketball superstar’s signature shoes were introduced, they repeated the adventure.

Now Turcanu will be opening Defining Moments as what he describes a “sneaker boutique” as well as a place for casual clothes so other youngsters can have the same experience he did in his youth.
