Deerfield, IL - On Saturday morning, November 22rd, North Suburban Church will host its 22nd annual Project Share, a local outreach event in which church congregants and the surrounding community gather to assemble hundreds of baskets of Thanksgiving foods which are then distributed throughout the Chicagoland area to feed those in need. All are welcome! Watch this video to learn more about the process.

These baskets are designed to provide for a family of 4-6 members. Sunset Foods provides the food for the baskets at cost. Items include frozen meats, cereal, canned goods, pasta, rice, potatoes, and prepared foods. About 1,560 baskets will be assembled this year.

As the baskets are assembled, they are picked up and distributed by several ministry partner organizations across the Chicagoland area, each of which are in direct contact with under-resourced families. One of these partner organizations is Family Empowerment Centers, where founder and Executive Director Scott Manke says, "Our partnership over the years with Project Share has allowed us to feed well over a thousand families and bring the hope of Christ to them; we just couldn’t have done that without North Sub Church.” Pastor Tim Higgins at North Suburban Church added, “Seeing two hundred people young and old join together in a common cause is a great reflection of this Thanksgiving season. Project Share is a chance for our congregation and community to give back out of the blessing we're so grateful to have received."
