For a sixth year in a row, the Deerfield High School Prom After Party exceeded all expectations, delivering an incredibly entertaining—and safe—evening for nearly 450 local students, a record number of attendees.
The teens poured into the Deerfield Park District’s Sachs Center—which generously donated the venue for the event—at midnight Saturday, straight off the buses returning from their formal prom in downtown Chicago.

After a quick change out of gowns and tuxes and into t-shirts and shorts, the teens enjoyed a solid three hours of non-stop entertainment and activities, including a live DJ, caricature artists and magicians, giant inflatable obstacle courses, three on three basketball and volleyball tournaments, casino games, and more.
A seemingly endless supply of pizza, hot wings, cookies, cupcakes, ice cream treats, and gourmet coffee drinks kept everyone’s energy levels high. Raffle prizes, including tickets to Lollapalooza and two flat-screen TVs, were a highlight of the evening.

A small army of parent volunteers and generous contributions from more than 100 community sponsors and donors made the $20,000 event happen.
Patch has put together a photo gallery of this party. We would love to have pictures from Prom or ones taken in formal attire before heading off to the event. Feel free to share them with this story. It’s easy to do.
