Time and again violin soloist Gil Shaham led the Chicago Symphony Orchestra into full exuberance during Peter Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto today at Ravinia.
Led be James Conlon, the orchestra took its lead from Shaham's gentle stroked becoming becoming slightly more intense as the full orchestra broke into the full exuberance of the piece.
As the concerto moved to its conclusion, both Shaham and the orchestra combined their intensity to arrive together.
