Texas Human Trafficking Arrest Made: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

A Wisconsin man with a warrant for the charge was arrested in Beach Park, according to police.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police.   • Javier M. Gonzalez, 61, no permanent address, had a warrant for driving under the influence, and was arrested Oct. 6 in the 0-100 block of N. County Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 31.
  • Joshua Davis Cordero, 21, of the 35700 block of N. Watson Avenue, Ingleside, is accused of DUI alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested Oct. 9 in the 35700 block of N. Watson Avenue, Ingleside. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 12.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Alexis D. Little, 27, of the 2700 block of Gabriel Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving while license suspended, suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Oct. 6 in the 39000 block of N. Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. She was released following her arrest.

SUSPENDED REGISTRATION

  • Maria D. Carmona, 23, of the 100 block of Drew Lane, Waukegan, is accused of having a suspended registration, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Oct. 6 in the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. She was released following her arrest.
  • Joe Robinson, 58, of the 39000 block of Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of having a suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Oct. 10 at Sheridan and Parmalee roads, unincorporated Waukegan. He was released following his arrest.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Eric M. Bickwermert, 37, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, had a warrant out of Texas for human trafficking, and was arrested Oct. 6 in the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report. A court date of Oct. 17 was assigned.

FLEEING TO ELUDE

Brandon Ozuna, 18, of the 33600 block of N. Oakland Drive, unincorporated Grayslake, had a warrant for aggravated fleeing to elude, and was arrested Oct. 6 in the 200 block of N. Lake Street, Mundelein. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 3.

VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

  • Willie L. Ranson, 68, of the 1000 block of N. McAree, Waukegan, had a warrant for violating an order of protection, and was arrested Oct. 7 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 5.
  • Daniel W. Johnson, 35, of the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan, had a warrant for violating an order of protection, and was arrested Oct. 7 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was sentenced to 12 months conditional discharge.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

  • Michael David Edmonds, Jr. 34, of the 1800 block of New Street, Union Grove, had a warrant for disorderly conduct, and was arrested Oct. 8 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 30.
  • Robert J. Schulze, 33, of the 17900 block of Kewaunee Drive, unincorporated Grayslake, is accused of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, and was arrested Oct. 10 in the 17900 block of W. Kewaunee Drive, unincorporated Grayslake. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 5.

RETAIL THEFT

  • Shuntel D. Richardson, 18, of the 1800 block of Victoria Avenue, North Chicago, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested Oct. 9 in the 200 block of Water Street, Waukegan. Richardson was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 30.
  • Tyler Jason Ruefer, 34, of the 18800 block of W. Old Plan Road, unincorporated Grayslake, had a warrant for retail theft, and was arrested Oct. 10 in the 18800 block of W. Old Plank Road, unincorporated Grayslake. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 28.

BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER

Robin A. Biles, 24, of the 2300 block of Joppa Avenue, Zion, is accused of aggravated battery to a peace officer, driving while license suspended, resisting arrest, no insurance, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Oct. 10 at Sheridan and Blanchard roads, Beach Park. She was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 18.
