Tu B'Shevat Event at Deerfield School to Celebrate the Environment

The Chicago Botanic Garden will present one of more than 25 booths at the Jewish National Fund's annual Tu B'Shevat celebration.

Various booths and art projects centered around the environment and Israel will be highlighted at the Jewish National Fund’s annual Tu B’Shevat celebration at Rochelle Zell Jewish High School in Deerfield from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 24, reported the Deerfield Review.

Children and adults will also have an opportunity to plant a tree by placing a sapling in a planter, to be transplanted this spring.

Since it was established in 1901, the Jewish National Fund has planted more than 240 million trees all over the State of Israel, covering more than 250,000 acres, according to their website.
