Village Of Deerfield: Dispose Unwanted Electronics At Recycling Event

Residents can simply drive up, open their trunk and let Public Works take the electronics to the on-site dumpsters provided by LRS.

The Village of Deerfield will host an Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Public Works Facility, 465 Elm Street. This is a great opportunity for residents to responsibly dispose of unwanted electronics.

Residents can simply drive up, open their trunk and let Public Works take the electronics to the on-site dumpsters provided by LRS.

Accepted e-waste items include:

  • Cell Phones
  • Computers (desktops, laptops, tablets)
  • Digital Converter Boxes
  • DVD Players and Recorders
  • Fax Machines
  • Keyboards and Computer Mice
  • MP3 Players (iPods)
  • Printers and Scanners
  • Small Scale Servers
  • TVs and Monitors
  • Video Game Consoles
  • VCRs

Items NOT accepted:Large appliances, air conditioners, ballasts, bare CRT tubes, capacitors, dehumidifiers, household batteries (AA, AAA, D, C, Lithium), light bulbs, liquids, microwaves, salvaged units, smoke detectors, vacuum cleaners, VHS cassette tapes, and any medical or biohazard-related equipment.
