Village Of Deerfield: Village To Invest In Revitalizing Business Storefronts

The Village of Deerfield has launched a Business Façade Rebate Program for commercial properties in the C-1 and C-2 Business Districts to encourage improvement and revitalization of the exterior appearance of older buildings. Qualifying properties must have a building of at least 15 years of age that is visible to the public.  

The program is anticipated to run for two  years. To be eligible, an applicant must make a minimum investment of $10,000. Funding is available for up to 50% of their building improvements (up to $50,000) and 50% of their site improvements (up to $50,000).   Eligible businesses can receive up to $100,000 if both building and site Improvements are addressed. In addition, all Village permit fees will be waived.

All proposed improvements are subject to the review and approval of the Village Manager’s Office, the Appearance Review Commission and the Village Board.
