Walgreens has secured a demolition permit for the removal of a portion of their sky bridge only. This work is necessary to allow Walgreens to separate its campus from the northern parcel in the 300 block of Wilmot Road. As part of this process, Walgreens will remove a small section of the sky bridge only, which was built in 2019, along with some minor site work in the surrounding area. Work on this portion of the site is expected to commence this week. Walgreens has a substantial completion date of mid-December.

Please be advised that this work does not include the demolition of any buildings in the 300 block of Wilmot Road. That area is part of a separate proposal for a new subdivision by Pulte Homes, which is expected to come before the Village Board for final consideration later this year.
