The Des Plaines Park District has been awarded 1st place in the Short Form Video Agency Showcase category at this year's Illinois Association of Park Districts and Illinois Park and Recreation Association Soaring to New Heights Conference for their innovative hiring campaign video. The objective of the video was to attract new applicants and hires for the Park District, and the strategy was to creatively engage the viewer with fun visuals, highlight employee perks, and showcase all of the positions available within the Park District.

The video was created by the Park District's in-house marketing team, and the results were impressive. In the week after it was posted, there was a 64% increase in new applicants, and it achieved 2.2K views on Facebook without any boosted ads. Response from the community to the video has been overwhelmingly positive!

"We are thrilled to receive this award and be recognized for our innovative approach to our hiring campaign," said Don Miletic, Executive Director. "Our in-house team did an amazing job creating a video that was not only effective in achieving our goals but also fun to create."
