Theft
Joseph J. Szuberla, 44, of Des Plaines, was charged with theft after police stated he refused to return a security deposit to a renter in the 700 block of Dulles Road between 3:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. on June 30. According to the report, Szuberla told police he did not have the money because he spent it on his bills. Property loss was estimated at $425.

Attempt Burglary to Vehicle

Police stated sometime between 5 p.m. on June 30 and 8 a.m. on July 1 a window was broken, and a metal frame was bent, on a camping trailer parked in front of a residence in the 200 block of N. Third Avenue. The offender was not able to gain entry to the trailer, and property loss was estimated at $300.

Police stated the passenger-side taillight of an SUV parked in the 200 block of Dover Drive was broken sometime between 8 p.m. on June 30 and 10:15 a.m. on July 1. Property loss was estimated at $100.
