Monday Blotter: DUI, Concrete Chunk Dents Car, More

Driving Under the Influence

Guillermo Vargassolis, 25, of Des Plaines, was arrested in the 3500 block of Winnetka Road in Glenview and charged with a felony DUI, driving while license suspended, failure to give information after striking an unoccupied vehicle, and improper lane usage at 7:26 p.m. on July 21, according to Glenview police. Vargassolis was transported to court on July 22 for a bond hearing.Β

Police stated an eight-inch chunk of concrete was used to dent a car parked in the 800 block of E. Oakwood Court at approximately 1 a.m. on July 25. Property loss was estimated at $500.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

The rear window of a car was smashed with a brick in the 1700 block of Forest Avenue sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on July 24, police stated. Property loss was estimated at $300.

Minor Prohibited from Gambling

Christian Suarez, 19, of Bensenville, was issued a citation for minor prohibited from gambling after police stated Suarez attempted to enter Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road, using his brother’s Illinois state identification car at 1:16 p.m. on July 23.
