$3,000 in Cash Stolen During Downers Grove Home Burglary: Police Blotter

A home in the 7600 block of Williams Street was burglarized sometime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Jan. 4, police said.
After leaving the house for several hours, the homeowners returned to the house to find items out of place in the master bedroom—including open drawers—and an unlocked back door, police said.

The couple later determined that one of the front windows was open, and that they had been burglarized, according to reports.
Police said about $3,075 in cash was stolen during the burglary. The damage to the wood front door and front glass window was estimated to cost about $800.
