3 New Administrators Appointed By District 58
District 58 appointed a new principal at Indian Trail, a new community relations coordinator and a new coordinator of middle school programs
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Three new administrators have been appointed to positions at Downers Grove Grade School District 58. Emily Stubbs was named as principal for Indian Trail Elementary School, Lauren Dixon was appointed as Middle School Special Programs Coordinator and Julie Relihan was appointed as the district's Community Relations Coordinator.
Stubbs comes to District 58 from Indian Prairie School District 204, where she currently serves as coordinator of student services for Gombert Elementary. She has also worked as a fourth grade teacher at Indian Prairie School District. Before beginning her career, Stubbs earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education at North Central College and an endorsement in special education from National Louis University. Stubbs also holds master’s degrees in education in both reading and literacy and educational leadership from Benedictine University.
Dixon is the assistant student services director at West Chicago District 33. Prior to this role, Dixon was the District 33's IEP specialist. Her experience includes teaching middle school special education in Arlington, Virginia, and working as a multi-needs special education teacher for District 203 in Naperville. Dixon holds a master’s degree in elementary and special education from University of Delaware, where she focused on middle school math. Her master's degree in education was earned at George Mason University.

Julie Relihan most recently served as Keeneyville School District 20's director of strategic operations. She got her start practicing commercial litigation before becoming the director of operations, representing DuPage County for Junior Achievement of Chicago. Relihan has a bachelor's degree in government from Cornell University and earned her law degree at the Boston University School of Law.
“I am thrilled to recommend these three outstanding professionals for their respective roles within District 58,” Superintendent Dr. Kevin Russell said in a statement.

Russell added, “The District conducted a rigorous interview process for all three positions, with several rounds of interviews and reference checks. Each candidate brings a wealth of experience and a student-centered approach to their work. I look forward to welcoming them to the District, and I am confident they will be key assets to our team!”
Stubbs, Dixon and Relihan will start their roles with District 58 this summer.
