William R. Groves, 50, of the 1400 block of Durness Court in Naperville, was arrested around 8:11 p.m. at Fry's Electronics, 3300 Finley Road, police said.
A loss prevention officer at Fry's told police a man was placing items in his pockets without purchasing them, and advised he might be carrying a knife, police said.
When cops arrived on the scene, they stopped the man—identified as Groves—outside the store, patted him down and discovered a small, black pocketknife in his jacket, according to reports.
Once inside, police searched Groves and found an SD card and a micro SD card adapter in his pockets, according to reports.
Groves was charged with retail theft, and was trespassed from Fry's, police said. He was issued a Jan. 23, 2013 court date in Wheaton.
