Chicago Suburb Has Seen 2 Dozen Burglaries In A Month
Four businesses were burglarized in Downers Grove early Sunday, less than a month after 20 burglaries took place in one day in early April.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Four businesses were burglarized in Downers Grove early Sunday just after 4:30 a.m. The burglaries, which took place in the 1600 block of 75th Street and the 6300 block of Woodward Avenue, come less than a month after 20 businesses were burglarized in the village in the same morning.
Downers Grove police are also investigating a pair of recent armed robberies.
Police were alerted to Sunday's burglaries after an alarm went off in the 6300 block of Woodward around 4:30 a.m., followed by an alarm in the 1600 block of 75th Street roughly 10 minutes later.

According to responding officers, glass was broken at the following businesses, to allow the burglar(s) to gain entry:
Lover's Lane, 1640 75th St.

Millard Jewelers, 1640 75th St.
La Michoacana Ice Cream and Fruits, 6313 Woodward Ave.
Illusion Musical, 6317 Woodward Ave.
Just after the Downers Grove incidents were reported, seven burglaries were reported in Woodridge.
