FRIDAY, MARCH 1

Girls Bike Found

An officer at about 7:54 a.m. met up with someone who found a blue girls mountain bike laying in a parking spot on the 800 block of Warren Avenue. The officer ran the serial number and it came back clear. Police took the bike to the police department, secured it to the bike lock in the garage and entered it into evidence.

Cannabis Possession, No Valid DL

Police charged Sarina Ann Pica, 19, of the 7000 block of Northgate Way, Downers Grove, was arrested just before midnight on the 6200 block of Main Street. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid driver's license. Police noted in their report that Pica was extremely polite and cooperative throughout the arrest process. She was released on I-bond and has an April 10 court date.

Cannabis Possession

Police charged Jason A. Marker, 30, of the 5200 block of Main Street, Downers Grove, with cannabis possession. Someone reported that a person later identified as Marker was looking into car windows and possibly trying to break into them. Police seized 10.82 grams of apparent cannabis that Marker had on him in two plastic bags. Marker was later released on an I-bond from the police department. He has an April 3 court date.

THURSDAY, FEB. 21

Burglary

A man came to the police department just before noon to report a theft of copper pipe. The man was hired to refurbish a home on the 4900 block of Stonewall Avenue. On this date he discovered that all of the copper piping the basement has been cut off by torch, then stolen. The man stated the house was locked and that there were no signs of forced entry. The incident occurred sometime after 11:55 a.m. Feb. 20.
